Carlo's journey as a Master Colorist spans over three decades, honing his craft through formal training and hands-on experience with industry titans such as Horst & Friends Int'l and Aveda Corp., esteemed pioneers in the field. Building a loyal following in Chicago's prestigious Gold Coast salons over 35 years, he even spearheaded his own establishment for a decade, earning acclaim as one of the city's foremost colorists, recognized in various publications.

Guided by a philosophy of enhancing natural beauty, Carlo deftly accentuates his clients' hair, skin, and eye tones. Whether applying single-process treatments or meticulously crafted highlights, his aim is to unveil the inherent allure of each individual. Fostering enduring connections with his clientele, based on trust and a mutual vision for personalized style, is paramount. His hallmark lies in delivering timeless, exquisite color tailored uniquely to each patron.

Rooted in his upbringing outside Chicago, Carlo's journey in hair care began under the guidance of his mother, a stalwart in the salon industry for over five decades. She instilled in him the fundamentals while underscoring the importance of exceptional customer service and effective client communication. Further refining his skills in Minneapolis, Carlo crossed paths with Horst of Aveda, embarking on an apprenticeship that saw him collaborate on editorial and platform ventures, alongside the Aveda Artistic team and within the halls of Horst & Friends Salons.

Currently based in Miami Beach, Carlo has served as the Master Colorist at Ooh la la for several years. Carlo regularly travels to Chicago where he continues to nurture a steadfast clientele at GC at George Charles Salon.  All of Carlos clients entrust him wholeheartedly, knowing that he always has their best interests at heart, leaving them not just looking, but feeling, exceptional.
